More Sounds (Videos, and Multimedia!)
Here is the second page! Same rules apply: Sounds over 1MB don’t work. And MIDI files may sound out of sync. And a new rule: For the Windows Video files, they come in 3 “flavors.” Any file marked “30” is the worse quality, at 30K bits/sec. Any file marked “103” is good quality, at 103K bits/sec. The best quality files are marked “230”, at 230K bits/sec. And if you want an idea of what that means, the “30”-quality isn’t too bad(so imagine what the 230 is!)
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER! These
sounds are only guaranteed in Windows Media Player or Realplayer. Some MAY work in Winamp, Jutebox, etc, but
it is not tested, and will not be. If
you want reliability in all the sounds, please, download Windows Media Player
or Realplayer(or use it, if you already have it!)
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR WINDOWS MEDIA FILES:
For a file marked "Windows Media,"
"Windows Video," or "Windows Audio," or something similar,
you MUST have Windows Media Player 7.1 or above(or version 7 w/ version 8
codecs; see the section below). Please try downloading them. If they still do
not work, YOU MUST DO THIS:
1. Open Windows Media Player.
2. Click the "Tools" menu, and
select "Options."
3. Click the "Network" tab.
4. In the first section, place a check mark
in the box next to "Use ports XXXX-XXXX to receive data." If it is
already checked, or you check it, and it still doesn't work, sorry, but it is
beyond my control. You might want to try Microsoft, or your computer vendor.
Sounds will be in RealMedia format and Windows Media Player 7.1 or 7 with 8 Codecs Format. If you don't have one, click on it to download it.
